Life has been crazy lately. Pandemic. Work opening, re-closing, re-opening, possibly re-closing again. I have been working on various projects throughout the pandemic and quarantine. I know I keep promising pictures. They're mostly taken at this point, just need some editing to make them pretty. And well...I just haven't had the energy to go through photos and get the ones I like best edited. I haven't had the energy to do a lot of things lately. So at this point I'm just going to promise eventually because all that's all I can really commit to.

Buddy of mine has been going through some shit in life, to the point where he's had to get the court system involved. He's not well off and can't afford a lawyer, hell, none of us really can right now. I'm putting this here in the chance that if you can't donate, than at least please share to your various social medias.

I hope all of you and yours are safe and healthy during this ongoing health crisis. Aside from possibly being a little more insane than I was six months ago, me and mine are as well as can be hoped for.

So last night, before posting about my shiny new laptop, I realized that I COULD check on Deviant Art more often. So I, of course, had to make a journal about it, like I'm some kind of very important social media influencer (HA!). So I made my post and got distracted with something else about the shiny new thing. And then I went "HEY! Deviant Art! I can look at stuff!" Because OF COURSE you can look at stuff. *face palm* So I started with catching up on everything; journals, status updates, and artwork postings. Holy crap! Over 3,000 things in my Watch to catch up on. 2,819 alone from my friend SkyfireDragon. I have managed to go through all the Status Updates and Journals and SOME of the Deviations art postings. I'm pretty impressed with what I have managed to go through/read today.

I keep feeling like I'm forgetting something every time I go to close my laptop. Something I haven't downloaded or some file that I need. Its a niggling irritant. Hopefully I figure it out before it becomes too late.

In other news, I have been busy. I have pictures of new things from throughout the past year up to present day. As well as ongoing new projects that I have been burying myself in since I lost my job due to the COVID. On the plus side of that though, I managed to get a LOT of projects done, put a hefty dent in a bigger project - although perhaps not quite as hefty of could have been possible had I not taken on a butt-load of projects from friends. "Hey I'm bored, do you want chain maille" will get me busier than I ever thought. In a good way though.

I found out that I can go back to work on the 27th. I have mixed feelings about that given the current state of things and peoples' inherent self-centered need to lie about their health. I have been lied to by clients regarding illnesses ranging from the common cold to strep throat and more severe. I am seriously contemplating a career change more so now than I was before. My current career industry is most definitely not going to be the same going forward from here. Still, it currently pays the bills so I'll have to see how I can balance going back to school and still working. I have no idea how to run a business but I have an idea of what I CAN do as far as working for myself. We'll have to see how things play out first before I put more than just research into anything.

This has ended up being way longer than I originally intended so I will end it here for the time being. Its good to be back! You'll be seeing more of me from now on.

So after much frustration, many years, and a pandemic induced quarantine at which I've been unemployed for the last three months, I finally broke down and bought (go go unemployment) my very first laptop! In theory, I should be able to be online more. Possibly some updates if people haven't totally given up on me still existing. I will attempt to catch up after at least a year since I was last on. But I finally have my own computer! Anywho...still not dead! I hope everyone is safe and well.

This seems to be a theme whenever I post a journal on here. I'm not dead. I do have things to post. Have they been posted? Of course not. Back in December we actually managed to get better internet with a different service provider than what we were originally with. As a heads up, if you can avoid it, do NOT go with Hughs Net for internet. Unless you're willing to pay out the nose for what is essentially a cell phone plan. They can go kick rocks.

With the COVID-19, I'm currently out of work. Waiting to see what happens with unemployment. In the meantime, lots of chain maille is being done. Lots of pictures of said chain maille...not so much. At least for the time being. I'll see about getting photos of new stuff and get older stuff posted. Might as well make the most of this down time.

So for those of you still on here, still looking at my stuff...I'm not dead. I'm still here. My internet just sucks. A lot. I have a few things that need to get uploaded but again...crappy internet.

Also, with the new site update, I've had problems logging in. So that's a thing now. We'll see if that continues to be a thing.
